It’s Me and You, Dad.

It’s Me and You Dad.

Like peas in a pod, cut from the same cloth, out of the same mold; it’s me and you dad.  Celebrate your dad this Father’s Day with a few mini me-isms.  Is he super dad, the big cheese or man mountain? There are a ton of cracking combo’s to choose from for boys and girls, teens, tweenies and tots.  Find the best match for you and your dad.

Don’t let the treats stop here though, give dad a lie in and treat him to a very special breakfast.  Everyone has a different take on their favourite brunch from builders tea and a bacon butty to waffles, syrup and artisan coffee.  This breakfast will tick the savoury and sweet boxes, be messy to make and messy to eat but your dad will definitely devour it and enjoy it even more if he can share it with you.

So, roll your sleeves up, wash your hands and get ready for some squidgy, gooey, moreish finger licking yumminess.

2 Eggs

180ml milk

1 tbsp caster sugar

4 slices white bread

2 tbsp butter

4 rashers back bacon grilled

Icing sugar and syrup of choice (date or maple is nice), to serve.

Whisk the eggs and milk with the sugar in a bowl. Soak the white sliced bread in the mixture.

Heat 1 tbsp of the butter in a non-stick frying pan and fry two slices of the soaked bread on a low–medium heat until golden and crisp, about 3–4 mins on each side. Remove from the pan and sandwich 2 slices of bacon between the slices of French toast. Repeat with the remaining soaked bread to make the other sandwich.

Serve with a dusting of icing sugar and a drizzle of syrup.
